The Congessional Black Caucus Wants Swing Phi Swing®

As a result of several DC Metro Graduate Chapter member's appearance at the National Council of Negro Women Affiliates' Luncheon, Swing Phi Swing® has been invited to volunteer during the Congessional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference this year. DC Metro Graduate Chapter is spearheading this initiative but would like to extend an invitation to sisters throughout the fellowship to join us. We are looking to have a large representation and would love for visiting sisters to add to our numbers. We had over 30 sisters present in 2006 when we last volunteered during the Congessional Black Caucus weekend, in which we made quite an impression.

The conference will take place on September 19-22, 2012 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center located at 801 Mount Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC, 20001. For more information, visit www.cbcfinc.org.

DC Metro Graduate Chapter is also making arrangements to secure rooms at the Sheraton Hotel at a discounted rate for those who may need accomodations. Details on the rooms and additional information will be forthcoming once they have been confirmed and we have met with the Negro Council of Negro Women's volunteer coordinator.
